Not a complaint, just a comment.

JoomlaStart won't work when the hosts don't tolerate "fopen(url)". I got this error message:

Warning: fopen() [function.fopen]: URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in <<snip>>
Unable to open http://joomlacode.org/gf/download/frsrelease/111/262/Joomla_1.0.12-Stable-Full_Package.zip for reading!

Dreamhost claims the Curl library is more secure than allowing fopen. I could re-compile php to tolerate fopen, but then I'm without support.
It would be great if JoomlaStart could make provisions for using Curl, when fopen() isn't supported.

Will look into this and put the curl option in the features list!
Meanwhile you can simply upload the Joomla archive which you want to install in the same dir as Joomla.Start.php, and then choose it for restore from the second drop down box!
