Hi,
I've used the Desktop Installer utility for a couple of my Joomla site installs without any problems until now. My sites are hosted on Windows servers and the installs always worked, but I'm getting the following error with my current install:-
"A folder ipf-XXXXXXXX" has been created, but cannot be located on the server. (I just typed in the domain name here i.e.
www.xxxxx.com) then I tried typing in the domain with the folder name i.e.
www.xxxx.com/joomla, and the error box said:
A server error code (code 502) was encountered while testing HTTP settings.
Would you know what the problem is?
PS. It might be a good idea to have the same search option on this screen the way you have it to test the FTP on the screen previous so you know that the FTP settings are worrking by logging in and letting you select the folder.
This facility would also be good for the next screen which would probably solve a lot of user problems, just a thought.
PPS. I could never get the Joomla.Start.php install program to work from day one. Apart from copying over the two files, do you need to copy over the latest version of Joomla as well?
The error I get is:
CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers.
I'm using Joomla Start V1.3.
Thanks in advance.
