safe mode on - dangerous 2 Years, 8 Months ago  
with all of the security issues that are about these days, safe mode off seems dangerous. my reseller hosting account provider will not allow me to do anything with safe mode off.

how does this effect the software?

Well this is a major problem for PHP this days, safe-mode limits the execution time of our script!

The only real problem that safe_mode applies to is the permissions problem, but future versions of PHP will have that fixed!

Anyway we don't guarantee that the script will work ok with safe_mode on, so it's your decission!
