Backup functions, if I rewind sql the data base come error message all the same which attitude I use it come always an error. phpmyadmin always stops with line 69.

From what i understand, the error seems to be related to fact that your database table jos_menu_types already has records in it, what exactly are you trying to import?

more xCloner one provides sql file. I import and get myself these phpmyadmin then this error message. If I with phpmyadmin a Backup do not provide have I problems.

please let me participate in this discussion as 1001musik got the XCloner recommendation from my blog, Joomla Blog Insider. I'm using JoomlaCloner on many sites without any problems - after "admin" helped me out on my first joomlacloner setup experiences

facts:
- the user wants to backup a joomla database

- using phpmyadmin he has no problems in backing up & restoring the database sql file

- using XCloner be can do a database backup but he can't restore this backup using phpmyadmin

- he told me that his database is fresh and totally empty before importing the sql file

- he's using a german charset, XCloner 2.01 and Joomla 1.5.3

So his simple aim is to backup and restore the database using XCloner.

Hi there! The backup created through XCloner are not meant to be restored through phpmyadmin, he will need to use the XCLoner restore script to make the import!

What's the fastest way to only restore the database?

Btw: As some XCloner beginners always have problems in understanding the way XCloner should be used I'll write a german step-by-step tutorial for the main XCloner functions...
