Hi,

The cloning process went smoothly. Everything seems installed properly but I can't get into the admin panel on the backend. Gives me a username, password error.

I tried putting in another admin user before backing up and cloning and same problem with both. Even tried going into the database and changed the very long strings in the password field back to my normal login - nothing.

Ideas would be most welcome as we are in the middle of a time sensitive project.

Please open a support ticket and send us your restore site ftp details and the original location url and Joomla admin details to check the issue!

I'm having the same problem.

I tried running an SQL query to update the password; that didn't fix the access.

Will open a support ticket with the details.

All is well with me now and I wanted to update you guys in case it helps.

I ended up synchronizing the clone via FTP to patch the missing files, for starters.

Was using http://tinyurl.com/553cbw at Teach Me Joomla to generate the query for changing the password (which mysteriously wasn't working), but apparently something different about the new host (different version of MySQL?) the query wasn't working.

I ended up using the same page and copied and pasted - I'm not sure what it is - hash code for the password? into the jos_users table in MySQL and that successfully changed the password.
