1:1 copy different location 4 Months, 1 Week ago
Hi support,

I want to clone my live site into a different folder (let´s say public_html/test) for testing purposes.
This joomla installatiom MUST be totally independend from my live site (also the database).
Is this possible? And if yes where can I find instructions.
Thanks a lot
Great product!!

Yes, it is possible, you just need to use some different database details on restore

Please check this online manual http://www.joomlaplug.com/files/how_to_use_jcloner.pdf for the full backup and restore instructions

Let me know if you have further issues! Ovidiu

You need to use a mysql manager to create the new database details on your new host, then use those details on the restore script screen, JoomlaCloner does not create those details automatically
