Some data not moving on restore 5 Months ago
Hi,
When I restore my backup from my PC to the web most things seem ok but some folders and things like templates are not being copied. I checked to make sure that they are in my backup path and I verified that there is nothing being copied to the web. Also I double checked permissions on both ends. Has anyone had this problem?

Have you tried restoring by using the "Install files directly" option checked? Also, check your disk space, make sure you have enough available for a full restore, at least twice the backup size

Also, make sure open_basedir variable and safe_mode are set to Off or no value

Let me know if you have further issues, have you checked if the backup archive has all the files in it?

Install files directly: yes, I have been doing this as you suggested.
disk space: I think I have plenty, 2 gigs
open_basedir: no value
safe_mode: off
I have not figured out how to check the backup file to see if the files are there, this is something I already tried to do but I cannot successfully open it.

Also, I just noticed something while checking these items:
The exec() function support is disabled but I do not have any checkmarks on the general tab for server use options. Is this a problem?

Thank you for helping!

The exec() function is an issue only if you plan on restoring with "restore by using server utilities zip/tar" option checked!

Anyway, if you have anymore issues, please open a support ticket and send us your restore location ftp+mysql details to check the issue

Re:Some data not moving on restore 5 Months ago
Ok, with a lot of help from Ovidiu most of my site is restoring correctly, structure, links etc. Only one last trouble:
Some images and a module are missing.
I have a third party module that is simply not being included in the backup! I have checked permissions on both ends, and the module is definitely in the restore path.
I am curious why it is invisible to the backup and can I send this module manually to the web site if all else fails?

Thanks,

One of the restore issues you have is related to the safe_mode being set to On instead of Off, try and set that correctly and retry the files transfer
