Bug? Connects to old database 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago
This could be a very dangerous bug....

My install seemed to just hang but when I went to the base URL the web site was there.

Usually I would have just gone on and played with this sand box application. I am glad I did not....

BUT for some reason, intuition or whatever, I went into global configuration and found out that the site was connected to the old data base OR MY LIVE SITE!

If I had not caught this I could have caused major non - backed up damage and changes to my live site!

This IMHO should not happen under any circumstances! NO application under any circumstances should act in this manner!

I will probably never do a restore again without checking to see that the site is connected to the proper data base.

Thanks,
Joe

I got the install to finish by using Xcloner.php to do the database install only. BUT EVEN THEN the temp folder path in the back end config still pointed to the old temp folder, the log folder was also pointing to the wrong place. Is this another bug also? Are there other paths in the config file that might be wrong that are not shown in the GUI?

The tmp and logs folder paths will need to be updated manually as each of them can point to different locations, i would advise if you plan on using the Joomla root directory tmp and logs folders, to simply update them as "tmp" and "logs" without any other paths attached to them!

This way, on your next site move, the paths will automatically point to the new Joomla root directory tmp and logs paths
