Hi Ovidiu,

About the last post what exactly happens? Are you able to save the Configuration succesfully or it fails?

Yes, it's possible to save the Configuration, and the configuration file (.../administrator/components/com_cloner/cloner.config.php) gets updated with the data entered in the currently visible form / tab. There's also a message saying saving was successful. After that, the fields in the current tab (say the first one where the paths to the backup directory and the zip and mysqldump binaries are set) are all set to blank, as if nothing had been entered.

Switching to one of the other tabs, changing things there and saving it again saves what I have modified in that tab, but replaces the entries from the previous tab with the default settings (e.g., empty in case of text / path fields).

After having saved, say, the paths, and going out and in the configuration menus for the component, the saved values do not appear; instead, the paths are (again) blank.

Christian.

Could you open up a ticket with your purchase email account and send me your backend login data to check it out!

Done, at least the ticket...

I have played a bit more and replaced my PHP5 installation with an older PHP 4(.4.0). With PHP 4, JoomlaCloner runs very nicely, as far as I can tell...

My conclusion would be that the Cloner is not yet ready for PHP 5. This isn't a big deal for me right now, but you would probably want to look into php5 compatibility - and let the users know that they should run php4 for the time being.

Hope this helps,

and many thanks for this really nice component (now that it works) - and the prompt responses to my problems!

Kind regards,

Christian.
