joomla causes php script to show as full web page! 1 Year, 10 Months ago

HOwdy,

I've been going round and round with this thing. I'm running a joomla website,obviously, and I can't even get to the php script manually. It just says that I can't access it directly.

So, I tried to access as a web command through the cron and the log said that it couldn't get it either using both lynx and wget.

I set up a SSH command and it was finally able to access it but from the log it got a full blown joomla page rather than executing! I used

php absolutepath/script.php set as SSH. Any ideas how to get around the Joomla! block on triggering it with a web command would be greatly appreciated as well.

Hi there! Could you post here a screenshot of you cron edit page? And if possible could you attach also the debug message you got? Ovidiu

The cron seems to be working ok, however the problem seems to be from the php script you are running, what exactly is it supposed to send back when run?

As a test, open a browser page and try to run the script as http://mydomain.com/components/.../script.php and see what out put you get!

Try also to run this ssh command:

"lynx http://mydomain.com/components/.../script.php"

or

"links http://mydomain.com/components/.../script.php"

and see what is the result!

trying to go there says,"Direct Access to this location is not allowed." or a simple web command would work fine. I looked that up and it said it was a standard Joomla! feature and I don't know how to shut if off for this page.

Here is the full entry I'm using since it is cut off:
php /home/content/h/i/b/hibbs02tek/html/components/com_jd-wp/wp-content/update-feeds.php

I will note that I have this script set up on a pure wordpress blog and it can update fine with phpjobscheduler or visit to the script with your browser.

To take out the "Direct Access to this location is not allowed." message you need to edit this page http://www.iluvtek.com/components/com_jd-wp/wp-content/update-feeds.php At the top of it you will find a code like "die( 'Restricted access' );" try and comment that line along with the line before it(with defined( '_VALID_MOS' ) ) Paste that code here if you still have problems!
