JoomlaPlug!

Hi all,
I'm not sure what's going on but I set the scheduler to run a backup once daily at 10pm (via web command)but nothing happens. I don't get any errors, it's as if it just didn't run at all. I believe the cron script itself is working, as it will run the backup if I run the web command on my browser.
The cron job is enabled, and the web command link works, but the scheduler won't kick off the job. Am I missing something?? Thanks for your time.

Hi there! Please post here some screenshots of your Cron edit area and also the JCron Scheduler Configuration area to see what the problem might be!

Will do. Also, I read somewhere in here that there needs to be activity on the frontend for the scheduler to work. Does that mean that someone needs to be logged in the frontend of the site for it to work. Thanks

Yes, in order for JCron to run you would need activity on the Joomla frontpages, however any visit will do including a search engine, users don't need to be logged or registered!

That was quick!! Ok, so if I want to back up say at 7pm every night there needs to be activity around that time? Thanks again for your help.

Theoretically yes, however if you have activity later(in terms of minutes or hours) that will also get your backup created!
