Error when opening component 1 Year, 3 Months ago
|
|
|
A little background information...
This is on an internal web development server and we want to transfer the site to our public server in the next day or two. I registered it @ the ip the internal dev server is behind and I am not sure if that is the caause of this error. Port 80 is not forwarded to this, it is strictly for internal use.
Here is the error:
"Site error: the file C:\Apache2\htdocs\administrator\components\com_cloner\admin.cloner.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_win_5.2.dll to be installed by the site administrator."
I downloaded and installed the ioncube package.
Does the full/paid version also have to be bound to an ip/domain? Will it not backup an internal server?<br><br>Post edited by: josh.cole, at: 2007/06/21 02:16

Hi there! The full version of JoomlaCloner does not require ioncube, and yes, you can use it to backup a local server also!
The error you are getting is from the ioncube loaders which are not installed or not working properly!

I was able to get the ioncube loader to work but now I get a message saying "my internal ip" is not permissed to access the component. So, the full version does not have to be bound to what you see as a valid domain/ip?

No, the full version will not have this issue! I suggest you try and recreate the trial if you like but for your internal ip address!

I did try that but it would not take. Thanks for the quick responses though.
I guess at this point I am going to try to make it public for long enough to test this component out.
My first question really should have been...
Will any of my components/modules have to be re-installed? Other then modifying globals and what not...Is there anything else I should have to do with it? A lot of work has been put into this template on the development server and the only way this component will be worth it for myself is if I will be able to avoid having to re-install everything, re-position etc, etc.
Thanks for your time!<br><br>Post edited by: josh.cole, at: 2007/06/21 04:36

Nothing will need to be reinstalled, maybe reconfigured if it's the case to reflect the new paths and url, however the main Joomla site should work without problems, JoomlaCloner will restore the files, database and also update the main configuration!
