I was trying to do it using the non-ftp options. I'm having trouble getting my ftp settings to work at the moment, which is why I was using the "install files directly" option instead.

Did you have any luck in figuring the issue?

If you could answer the above, maybe it could clear things up:

1. are you able to open the current backup archive on your computer?
2. is open_basedir php.ini variable from your restore site set to No value or empty?
3. is safe_mode Off on your restore location?
4. do you have at least 2 times disk space available compared to restore backup size on your new host?

The answer to all of those is yes. I was able to get my ftp settings working, but still had no luck. I also tried the "clone" option, but ran into the same problem.

If you like, open a support ticket and send us your ftp+mysql details to the restore location to take a look at the problem! Ovidiu
