Hi all,

I am new to the site, this is my maybe 100 time visiting a joomla forum, i hope i will find the answer of my question, my question is,

I installed joomla
than smf forum
than roundcube
on my localhost with xampp package

no problem on installation at all but how can i set up from the joomla backend roundcube config to test it in my localhost, i also have mercury mail server with in the package of xampp, i tried everything but cannot login it does not work is there any one can help me out wth roundcube config on joomla and mercury mail as mail server.

You may use the roundcube install from your localhost to access any imap server, so you would be better if you would use an already setup imap server account from a mail server which you know for sure it works!

Hi ok, what i want to know is after installing Joomla i download the file com-roundcubeV1 for joomla and install it from the companents section of joomla, is this the only file to be installed for joomla or i need to install first rounducube than this com file,

by installing only com file in joomla i still get the login page and config section in joomla for roundcube, i tried it wth the imap server it does not give any errors it just reloads the page after submitting the password and user name ans server name no errors i think it is not redricting me to the inbox page do u think this is because of only installing com file.

can you write wat i need to install to run roundcube in joomla

All you need to install is the Roundcube for Joomla component, and as you already specified you already did that!

Try and look in this file components/com_roundcube/logs/error and see at the bottom of it if you find any error message that could help finding the issue, copy/paste it also here to check the issue!

These are the error log file, but it does not show the erors for today dont know why, because the problem i guess it does not dricting to the mail server i am using at the time of my entries

OK, then try to empty the error log file and try to login one more time, see if you get any error output from that! Ovidiu
