Ok, I have never set up Email on my hosting provider or any other provider. I can usually figure things out however I am stuck.

I need help setting up RoundCube. Also want to clarify some things.

Questions...
1) So every registered member on my site can actually use this email service and email friends?
2) Does RoundCube import the users automatically?

What I know about my host information for email...

Mail Server Username: name+domain-name.com
Incoming Mail Server: mail.domain-name.com
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.domain-name.com (server requires authentication)


Supported Protocols:

Supported Incoming Mail Protocols: POP3, POP3S (SSL/TLS), IMAP, IMAPS (SSL/TLS)
Supported Outgoing Mail Protocols: SMTP, SMTPS (SSL/TLS)

I dont know where to put what information in the configuration.

I am using Lunarpages.com for my host.

1) not every user can use the email service, they would need to have an IMAP account on your server in order to have access
2) since it does work this way, no, it does not import users from Joomla

ok, how can I set it up so it works properly? I know how to add accounts in cpanel for users to have email.

You will need to make a script that will automatically create the email account for each of your users on the IMAP server, i suggest you look in to a cpanel hack maybe!

I see your online right now I'm not a techo I'm just an architect of a new site business model. I'm setting up a Joomla 1.5 site for project dev and I've been out of the market for five years I just want to set up round cube for my base domain on this joomla sub domain.

I dont have the time to bugger round with setting up intranets what do I do to hook into my primary domain accounts
