session save path /tmp 1 Year, 9 Months ago
I have successfully used the JoomlaPlug to setup Joomla!. However, in the Joomla! Web Installer, I have all green writables except the "session save path /tmp" setting. It is unwritable and in red. How do I fix this?

Usually that error won't affect the Joomla working state, however to fix that you need to address to your hosting company and ask them how you could modify the php.ini settings and specially that variable(session_path) so it points by default to the correct location!

Thanks for your help! If I just leave this unwritable, what would I not be able to do? I searched around different forums and read that some administrative options do not function. Is that likely?

As far as i know that only controls the path where session files are stored, however that seems to work on most cases with that problem!

I am no aware of other problems, but you may want to ask around!
