may I ask if this particular website is on a dedicated server?

by Oscar of fish forum is so incredibly slow at times. I have moved on to a dedicated server but it doesn't seem to made much difference. I have uninstalled statistics programs of all my websites, that does seem to have made a great difference to a number of my other websites, however they are not on the dedicated server. I just cannot understand why my fireboard forum is so slow. you've got more posts on some of your forum and you are speedy.

This site is hosted on a dedicated server, how much memory do you have available on the site with the issue? Have you tried running an optimize query on the forum tables and see if it helps?

okay, at the moment I'm using 386 MB. I can adjust this and use up to 2750 MB. Now, that's all very well but at the moment I'm paying an extra $38 a month for this dedicated server on top of what I already payfor my for hosting package. To go up to 2750 MB would be something like $250 a month. Now that's perfectly okay if you are actually making some money to pay for it, oscarfishlover is just hobbyist website, I can't afford £1000 a year for a dedicated server. The rest of the website is okay, it's just the forum, and to be quite honest, it's not that busy, it shouldn't be as slow as it is.

S brings me on to what you have mentioned about making a query on the database. Could you give me a little bit more information on how to do this, never done it before.
