I´m German - i hope you understand my english.
1 year ago i didn´t knew what a cms is.
i don´t know joomla 1.0.x
i learned joomla this year direct with 1.5
i made a homepage for a school: www.anne-frank-realschule-montabaur.de
i buyed joommlacloner unlimited last week for backup
i installed the part xcloner for the backup
the manuel backup works good

but i want a automatik backup each week (or day or ...). but my provider didn´t allow a cronjob.
is there an other possibility?
can i start a link from my pc at home each week automatikly and the backup starts then?

Hi there! Yes, you can use a browser link to launch the cronjob, that would be in your case http://www.anne-frank-realschule-montabaur.de/administrator/components/com_xcloner/cloner.cron.php

One more thing is that you need to add your computer ip to the Allowed list in the XCloner Config->Cron tab

This works only, when the Internet-Line from the Backup-Server we use to call the link, has an fix IP. But in Germany normal DSL-Internet interrupts 1 x per day the line and so every day there is another IP-Adress.

Better would be, if the link could be added with a password.

Feel free to open a support ticket and we will send you an updated version if the cron script to use with dynamic ip's and a password
