Hi,

I tried backing up my site and I got this message afterwards:

what's happening? I'm a newbee and don't understand much of what is the error is all about and how I can fix this.

The error is related to the mysql server which seems to close the connection before the script stops, usually a fix for this is to run a repair query on your database tables and see if you have anymore issues after

I just had the same error. I tried as you said to run a repair on all of my database tables, but that had no effect. The same error message appeared afterwards when I generated another backup:

My question is, in spite of this error, the backup that was generated, is it still good, or is it corrupt and unusable? I need to clone my site to my other url.

It seems to be a full backup, but I don't know if that error message means that the backup by JoomlaPlug cloner is faulty in some way due to some unknown mysql issue, or if the fact that the backup completed and shows inside of backups means that, in spite of that message, JoomlaPlug cloner was able to successfully complete a backup?

The error you have there is related to the mysql server which closes the connection prematurely, one way to fix this is to run a repair query on your database tables through phpmyadmin, then try again

I ran a repair several times, and each time I again did a backup. And each time I again get the error message.

I hope you do not paste and click the same reply to this post again. I will wonder if a person is answering this or you have auto responses replying.

You did not answer my question:

I have repaired my database table 5 times. After each I have then tried again to do a backup. Each time I do get a backup, but I also get the same error message.

So since my backups ALL STILL result in the mysql error message, yet I DO get backups, ARE THOSE BACKUPS GOOD OR CORRUPT?

Sorry if it seemed as a duplicate message, it was not my intention!

The created backups are complete, the mysql server simply closes the connection before the script finishes the files archiving and that does not affect the backup status, which is COMPLETE
