Cannot restore database using WAMP 1 Year ago  
I can make backups of the site and MySQL but cannot get the new site on my WAMP standalone to connect to the database. I moved the XXX.sql file and using PHP Admin, I imported your .sql file. However, I cannot connect my standalone Joomla site to the MySQLite database in WAMP. Also tried transferring those three files and restoring, but didn't work. Because I am using WAMP?Suggestions please!

Hi there! What mysql details are you using for your WAMP restore?

As far as i know the default mysql user is root with no password, and as for the database you need to create that before trying to use it for restore! Ovidiu
