Joomla!®Plug

I move to a new hosting company called hostnine.com. Any straight Joomla install I do works great. When I try Joomla.Start.php I get to the first page type in the FTP details (the same error happens in direct mode to), and when moving to Step1, I get back an Apache 406 error page.

Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /3ringsoccer/Joomla.Start.php could not be found on this server.

Apache/1.3.37 Server at www.web-jive.com Port 80


Any ideas?

The problem might be from the http:// from the "Install Url:" field which is passed as GET variable!

Try and replace the http://domain.com with only domain.com in the "Install Url:" field and then try again!

I figured this one out.. Was causing more headaches for other things I had running. If anyone else gets this, put this in your .htaccess file.

SecFilterEngine Off

After a lot of research, I found this. I don't know why a provider would have it turned on but it was wreaking havoc on sites for me!
