Trouble getting JoomlaStart working 10 Months, 3 Weeks ago
These are the messages I get when I try to use JoomlaStart...

Warning: fopen(): URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in /home/content/b/w/d/bwdev1/html/public_html/Joomla.Start.php on line 622

Warning: fopen(http://joomlacode.org/gf/download/frsrelease/4508/13217/Joomla_1.0.13-Stable-Full_Package.zip ): failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in /home/content/b/w/d/bwdev1/html/public_html/Joomla.Start.php on line 622

Unable to open http://joomlacode.org/gf/download/frsrelease/4508/13217/Joomla_1.0.13-Stable-Full_Package.zip for reading!

Any help regarding what I should change would be appreciated.

Also, to use JoomlaCloner does the site need to be 4.3 or above. My sites are hosted in 4.0 and 4.1 databases.

Thanks

Hi there! From this error " fopen(): URL file-access is disabled in the server" it means that you can't use JoomlaStart to download the Joomla package automatically from the joomlacode.org site, the allow_url_fopen variable is set to Off instead of On in your site php.ini configuration!

To fix this, you can either download the package manually and place it in the same location as Joomla.Start.php file, then select it from the second drop down box on the script screen, or use some other tool like JoomlaDesktop Installer which we provide here http://www.joomlaplug.com/Tools/JoomlaStart/JoomlaStart_Desktop_Installer.html
