My server will not let me delete the install directory.

I would recommend using this component http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,102/Itemid,35/ for internal file modifications!

Sience we are making the install from the server, the files users and groups are different so in some cases deleting might not work directly throught ftp!

i have applied a patch for your problem, could you try again to install it from here http://www.joomlaplug.com/joomla_install_online/

Let me know if you can delete/rename installation directory!
