Install error 5 Years, 9 Months ago
Hello, I have tried the demo installer. when I get the the http://www.dvaus.com/test2/Joomla.Start.php page I get too many back slashes for example:

Code:

C:\\Domains\\dvaus.com\\wwwroot\\test2
the next page in the installation is:
Code:

Install Joomla software on the fly!!! Package succesfully downloaded to C:\\\\Domains\\\\dvaus.com\\\\wwwroot\\\\test2/Joomla_1.0.10-Stable-Full_Package.zip Files succesfully copied to C:\\\\Domains\\\\dvaus.com\\\\wwwroot\\\\test2 Launch Joomla installer! When you finished the Joomla installalation please click here to delete the install folder For support and questions please visit us at www.joomlaplug.com
Any suggestions?<br><br>Post edited by: mpurvis, at: 2006/08/03 12:15

An idea is to try to edit the paths and remove the extra slashes, for example on the full path &quot;C:\\Domains\\dvaus.com\\wwwroot\\test2&quot; try to make &quot;C:\Domains\dvaus.com\wwwroot\test2&quot;

I will look into this issue to see exactly the problem, but meanwhile i don't think it affects the script functionality!
Joomla should install corectly even so!

I am interested in buying your Joomla Cloner product so I wanted to make sure all would work first.

I just saw your php.ini file here http://www.dvaus.com/test2/Joomla.Start.php?task=info, look at the _SERVER[&quot;DOCUMENT_ROOT&quot;] variable, you will see that the path JoomlaStart use is corect one C:\\Domains\\dvaus.com\\wwwroot!

Anyway, the slashes have no relevane in the script functionality, and all will work ok!

Let me know on your concerns! Regards, Ovidiu

No, it does not work. It will not place the files in the folder specified and it fails on the last step when it goes to install - no folders or file ( and tested through the ftp as well you can try if you want using the /test3 folder.
