Install Url 1 Year, 10 Months ago
|
|
|
my joomla is installed on the root so can i just leave the install url as http://mysite(dot)org ?
i finally go the installer to say:
Package succesfully downloaded to /home/****/public_html/Upgrade Joomla_1.0.11_to_1.0.12-Stable-Patch_Package.zip
Files succesfully copied to /home/****/public_html
Upgrade Finished! Continue here...
clicking on "continue here" brings me to my home page. in the admin i see the version is still 1.0.11
through ftp i see the upgrade zip is in "public_html" (i cant delete it by the way)
did i do something wrong? whats my next step?
Thanks!

HI there! Have you used direct or ftp mode for the restore? You might need to use the ftp mode because the direct mode might not have enough permissions to overwrite the files for upgrade!

And yes, you can leave the install url as it is with the default address if you are installing to web root!

Warning: ftp_put() [function.ftp-put]: Rename/move failure: No such file or directory in /home/****/public_html/Joomla.Start.php on line 325

Hi there! The problem you are having with the ftp transfer is that the " /home/****/public_html/" is not the ftp path, that's the server path! Try as ftp path only "public_html/"
If you have the Joomla zip archive copied, then you can use that for install instead of copying all over again, you can use the choose local archive from the Joomla.Start.php screen, the second drop down box!
You can leave the archive_tmp and the zip as they are, however if you want to delete them, use JoomlaXplorer from your Joomla backend!
