internal server error when trying to create backup 1 Year ago  
Hi, when I try to create a backup, I get an 'Internal Server Error'

why would this be happening now?

You could be running into a memory_limit error, have you tried setting "Manual backup" option to Yes in your JoomlaCloner Configuration area?

Also set the "Backup type" option to TAR!

I found out what it was. The XCloner.php script doesn't appear to work with PHP Fast CGI. When I turn that off, everything worked fine.

I have just purchased JoomlaCloner - looks great. I have just tried to do my first backup; this generated this message:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

I have changed to manual backup and file type TAR as instructed in your replies to previous posts, but I get the same error.

Is there anything else I can try; I am hosting with FastHost (if that sheds any light?)
