Hi,

My website is hosted on a server where I can not get to use cron, and would like to be able to scedule regular backups anyway.

So i was thinking if there is a way to provide a .php file that would be able to invoke remote (from a browser) that would generate a backup?

Maybee this is not the most elegant way of getting backups made automatically - but any solution would be most apreciated.

Hi there! You might want to take a look at our JCron Scheduler component http://www.joomlaplug.com/Tools/JoomlaPlug_Tools/JCron_Scheduler.html , see if you can use it on your Joomla site!
