Can't JoomlaCloner transfer to FTP server 1 Year, 1 Month ago
Hello,

I'm trying out JoomlaCloner, but can't make the FTP transfer work - is this a limit in the trial?

After database backup, I receive the following messages:
Starting /customers/readyweb.dk/readyweb.dk/httpd.www/administrator/components/com_cloner/cloner.cron.php
Using configs/readyweb_db.php as configuration file
Starting JoomlaCloner for site http://www.readyweb.dk at 2007-08-17 20:37
Creating an sql only backup
Generating Backup ...
Archive Name: backup_readyweb.dk_db.tar
Number of Files: 0
Size of Original File: 0 bytes
Size of Archive: 731.83 KB
Database Backup Settings: readyweb_dk: Backup Completed ( 5.02 MB )
### END REPORT
Backup Done
Backup file: /customers/readyweb.dk/readyweb.dk/httpd.www/administrator/backups/backup_readyweb.dk_db.tar
Starting ftp transfer:

But after this, nothing more happens!
My FTP server address is a ipadress - could this be a problem?

The website is hosted at one.com..

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Henrik

HI there! I think you don't have the ftp functions compiled with your php, do you have "--enable-ftp" option in your phpinfo page? If not, try and contact your host and ask them to enable it!

I think you are right - there is no "--enable-ftp" option on my phpinfo page

As I suspect one.com will not be willing to change this, I might as well ask you right away: Is there any other way around this is I want to use the FTP option in JoomlaCloner?

Cheers,
Henrik

Unfortunately not at the moment, you will need at this point to store the backup locally on your existing server, and if you like to restore it simply move it manually along with the restore script as specified in our Restore FAQ
