JoomlaPlug!

After looking around and quite nervous trying out to set up a backup I've decided to post a HOWTO.

Of course JCron needs to be installed and enabled in the configuration area.

1. Give your cronjob a name eg. 'Backup'
2. Choose 'Web Address' as Task Type
3. Enter the url to the cloner.cron.php file (eg. http://www.yoursitenamehere.com/administrator/components/com_cloner/cloner.cron.php)
4. Decide when the command should run
5. Dont pay attention to the 'UNIX Crontab' setting
6. Save your job
7. Publish your job

Hope it will take some of the nervousness out of others like me that are not UNIX accustomed nor Joomla-experts

And now that Im at it: great component, and I would not know what to do without JoomlaCloner...

I'm new for this argument and may have patience

I installed JCron and after some test now JCron seem to be working

I'm not programmer and have difficults to find a script for backup my joomla site and database

I think is a good idea to add in this mini-tutorial a script to do that

This can help me a may many other people

Hi there! Well JoomlaCloner might be what you need

It can automatically create backups of your site including all files and database, and when needed, you can also restore them by using the provided restore script!
