XCloner is the development continuation of the JoomlaCloner Joomla component, however it adds up some major changes, you may read the full post here http://www.joomlaplug.com/Documentation/XCloner_Documentation/XCloner_2.0_Beta.html

What XCloner can do now:

1. install natively on upcoming Joomla 1.5 system
2. run independently from Joomla, giving the user to ability to backup also non-Joomla system
3. you can now choose your Backup Start Path from where the file structure to be archived will be pulled

Existing client will find the software for Download in their Downloads area

Please note that the software is in Beta state, so any bug reports or suggestions are welcomed!

Is this Alpha or Beta ?? The link says Beta, but the kit says Beta ? Could you please fix the references to it?

Also, please create a main menu to jump to the documentation, i.e., installation manuals, etc.

I'm interested in your product (XCloner), can you tell me if it's possible to clone a j1.5 site and then upload it to a sub-domain? And if so are there any special step out of the ordinary that are required? Most of the clones that I will be making will be restored/cloned to sub-domains, does anyone have any thoughts as to how well and easy this product will work for that?

Hi there! XCloner works mostly the same as JoomlaCloner, you can simply create a backup your original site and then with the provided restore script you can move that backup archive and restore it anywhere you like it, including site subdomains
