JoomlaPlug!

I am trying to install a full package on a linux server. I have uploaded the Joomla full package zip, Joomla.Start.php and ver.txt

This is a clean install, nothing else on this server. This is the error I get:

Transfer fail for /var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/archive_tmp/CHANGELOG.php to /var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/CHANGELOG.php File already exists and/or doesn't have writing permissions!

Changed url to mysite.com Set permissions to 777 on httpdocs folder and all files inside. Any thoughts?

Your ftp path is incorrect, you need to recheck it, most probably the correct value is httpdocs!

OK I changed the ftp path to /httpdocs and get the same message:

Transfer fail for /var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/archive_tmp/CHANGELOG.php to /httpdocs/CHANGELOG.php File already exists and/or doesn't have writing permissions!

I suggest you use the other option with "Install files directly" or simply try our other tool JoomlaDesktop!

OK I changed to "install files directly" and the resulting screen says "Files succesfully copied to..." (spelling error: "successfully&quot Launch Joomla Installer

The Launch Joomla Installer link, mysite.com/installation produces a 404 Not Found. I looked at the files on the server and the Joomla zip file is not unzipped and there is no "installation" file.

I am browsing in FireFox on a Mac and can not use your desktop application.

What is the package size for the download Joomla archive? Usually, it should be around 3MB, if it's not, i suggest you download it manually and upload it in the same directory as Joomla.Start.php, then select that archive from the second drop down box on the Joomla.Start.php screen!
