We will look into it, probably the best way to go is using the existing Joomla users table!
Any suggestions specific to Joomla integration are most welcome!

To have an option of activating/deactivating this add-on in in the configuration certainly rocks..
Thanks

I was able to accomplish this inserting some modified long-forgotten Mambo code from some dutchmen into com_registration files, however I cannot get them to delete e-mail accounts reliably.
The problems I run into with cpanel is either it wants to confirm the deletion or it wants to delete all of the users when i include delteion code in the admin files. The only way I could think to fix this was by hacking actual joomla registration files.
Sooooo.... Has there been any thought as to a way of using joomla username password as autologin for roundcube with joomla's domain as the domain for true site integration?
Thanks,
tim.

At the current stage, the registration component of Joomla can't be used simply for the fact that adding custom fields without hacking the actual core files is not possible!
So, most probably, a good way to go is build a separate Roundcube for Joomla profile page where users can save their imap login settings, and next time they login in Joomla and want to access the Roundcube webmail we will automatically log them using their profile account settings!

aye, I'm trying to avoid that though, I really want to go with a 1 login, 1 time for everything type of thing.
Would it be possible to insert username and password into the seperate file at the point of registration so that the seperate login would not be necessary? I'm thinking we can modify the core registration component so that it not only adds the username and password to the mail server by way of cpanel but also adds needed user info to the virtuser file for roundcube.
I lack the php experience to effectively accomplish this, for me it has been trial and error, and I have no idea how insecure my work is bound to be. However, I would be more then happy to share my work in a more private forum, to avoid spreading insecure work.
Thanks,
tim.
