Either increase the memory_limit variable to a larger value, or check the "incremental sql import" option from the Joomla.Cloner.php screen, then try again!
Note, the "incremental sql import" option is only available starting with version 1.9 of JoomlaCloner

Ive increased the limit in the .htaccess file and i started again but go this....

You should recheck your ftp restore path and make sure it's correct, or else use the "Install files directly" option to make the restore!
Also, are you able to list the backup content on your computer to make sure it's sized correctly?

I selected the 'install files directly' option.
when i visit the site now i get this error.
A file permissions error has occurred. Please check the permissions on the script and the directory it is in and try again.

This is a server issue, you need to either delete the .htaccess file or adjust the restore folder permissions to the original ones, try 755

Ive tried deleting the .htaccess file but that made no difference.
As im running an old version of the software I dont have the restore folder do i?
