upgrading to the latest fire board 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I'm hoping that somebody can help me because I have a problem that is driving me round the bend

I am trying to upgrade to the latest version of Fire board. I downloaded the patch and have tried to follow the instructions. However,in the instructions it tells you to Copy “components/com_fireboard/_fbfiles/” directory in the extracted package to “Joomla_Root/images/” directory

There is no fbfiles folder within components/com_fireboard

so if somebody could give me some advice, I would appreciate it

The fbfiles/ directory is located inside the images/ one in your patch archive! The upload direction is correct however!

does this mean I have to move the fbfiles folder from the images folder(in the new patch) to the components folder and then upload?

No, the images folder goes in the same location (Joomla_root/images)

The best way to upgrade is by simply extracting the patch on your computer and simply upload all those files in your Joomla site root

As a note, you should however make a copy after your configuration file, it will get replaced by the default one!

Sorry, getting a little bit confused. I have already uploaded to patch into the root folder. The patch consisted of administrator, components and images. Inside each of these folders was com_Fire board. The fbfiles folder was already in images so I obviously don't have to do anything now on the server, correct? Now the instructions say to copy components/com_Fire board/fbfiles into the images folder. Like a road he said, the fbfiles folder was already in images. Does this mean that I copy components/com_Fire board into images?
