Hi

I installed joomla 1.5.3 as i had problems with the ftp uploading the files. Now when i check the ftp, i see the owner of the files and folders is "99" and i cannot make changes to them as i do not appear to be the owner (especially configuration.php which is set to 644 and i need to make changes in it.

Any idea how to change the onwer?

i used JoomlaStart Utility and opted for the Install the files directly (i uploaded the file myself to the desired place). Installation works well, but i can't make any changes as permissions for configuration is set to 644.

You can change the owner by using the chown command as a root user from the ssh console! Additionally you could remake the install but use this time the ftp mode instead of "Install files directly"
