To Move or To Clone??? 7 Months, 4 Weeks ago
I am finally ready to place my new site online. For testing purposes it was places a directory called "newsite". Now I would like to move it to the root directory. The root directory currently has an older Joomla version running.

Should I move or clone the new site to the root directory?

The Clone button does the same thing as the Move button, except that beside copying the backup archive it also copies the restore script we provide!

What if I'm cloning the site over to a different url.? All my links are still pointing to the other domain? Did I buy the wrong software? How do I change the links to reflect the new domain name?

The links will only point to the old url if you hardcoded them in the site, JoomlaCloner only updates the main Joomla config file automatically!

Did you manage to get 2 success message when doing the restore?
