can't remember how to access XCloner 6 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I've just uploaded the latest version of XCloner into an administrator/components/XCloner for the life of me, I can't remember how to access it. I know I used to have one on the desktop, that is the one I used to use one on my website because the component within joomla wouldn't work properly

Simply open that location directly in your browser as http://mysite.com/administrator/components/XCloner

I think I must have got confused with the cloning process. I cloned to a certain domain, http://www.mysite.com . So I was expecting to open up that domain name and see an identical cloned website, however it didn't, all it did was to open up XCloner.what have I done wrong?

After opening the XCloner.php restore script, did you start the restore process?

Please check this online manual http://www.joomlaplug.com/files/how_to_use_jcloner.pdf , it should help you understand the backup and restore process better

Re:can't remember how to access XCloner 6 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I'm sure gone wrong somewhere. Okay, imagine that http://www.site1.com is the original website that I want to copy. The reason I want to copy it onto a test domain is so I can practise on it.

I have created another domain, actually it's subdomain, let's call it http://www.site2.com. So I made a backup of site1 and once the back was completed click to clone. Now this clone was transferred to the site2. So when I type in site2 domain, I just get the XCloner backup screen coming up again. I literally want to transfer site won on to a different domain so I can practise on it without wrecking the original one. Problem is, I'm getting so confused with all the instructions. Sorry to be a pain, but could you so that I can just copy my original site onto a different domain so that I can practise on it and it doesn't matter if I mess things up

Feel free to open a support ticket and send us your original site Joomla admin details and the ftp+mysql details to the restore location to help you

As i specified, you will need to manually move the backup archive and restore script to the new location and continue from there the restore process
