the backup was created on yourhoop.com, am i still entering incorrectly on auto restore screen?

Try and check the "Restore by using the server utilities unzip/tar" option when restoring, and also delete any configuration.php file you might have on your restore directory!

OK...FINALLY got it over to the new domain. Just about out of alloted traffic for the month.

Still checking to see if everything is working but one thing I noticed is that " Â " is smattered EVERYWHERE thoughout pages on the site. Odd.

I'm a virtuemart user so everything at checkout is pointing back to yourhoop.com for now...hopefully i can do some finals tweaks and be up and running soon.

To fix the 'Â' issue, you should do the reimport but this time set the "Character set to the file" option to utf8 from your Joomla.Cloner.php screen

ok...do I need to delete all files or can i import over top of them. i'm so close, I don't want to mess up further.

You only need to empty your database, the rest can be left as it is!
