Clone on same server with different name 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago  
Can I make a clone on the same server and alter its' (and only its' ) php settings etc.

Will it act as its own site or if I change settings will it effect the main (real) site?

What I want to do is be able to clone it and upgrade it from 1.0 to 1.5 without effecting the original. When I currently just duplicate and rename the folder name even when I change the settings it effects the main site. So it's writing over the php etc.


Thank you in advance for any advice.

HI there! With JoomlaCloner/XCloner you can create a complete clone of your site inside a subdirectory on the same site, all config values related to Joomla will be updated by the restore script
