Upgrade from previous version? 3 Years, 8 Months ago
I see that there's a 1.1 Stable version of Roundcube and would like to upgrade.

Is there an upgrade process document?
Can I simply uninstall the old and re-install the new?
Will the db tables be left untouched during uninstall?
Will the db tables be updated as required during re-install?

Many thanks,
-M

You can simply reinstall the component, the only items you will lose are the main roundcube config options which can be easily restored!

Re:Upgrade from previous version? 3 Years, 8 Months ago
It was a quick reply but not quite right.

Uninstalling removes my "jos_rcube_***" tables and the re-install creates new ones. That means all my user accounts are wiped out and so are their contacts.

I was able to restore them by running in the records from my backup so it's not lost but that was what I wanted to know and why I asked the question!

Anyway, it's all up and running, my user's have been restored and contacts are back so it's all good and I'm happy to have the upgrade. Thank you again for your efforts with this.

FYI, I manually edited main.inc.php to change the page titles from "Domain Webmail" to "<my site> Webmail" as it's not included in the Joomla config. Easy enough but would be a nice addition to the Admin.
