I'm running Joomla 1.0, I have received the following error when I tried to manually restore my site on another service plan:

Warning: require_once(includes/joomla.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/u2/brucelamb/floorandwalltv.com/html/index.php on line 26

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'includes/joomla.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/share/pear&#039 in /home/u2/brucelamb/floorandwalltv.com/html/index.php on line 26

Btw the data base did not restore either, I read some of the threads about contacting my provider about this but this message does not look like a database problem. What do you guys think.

From the looks of that error, the Joomla main configuration.php file was not updated!

How exactly are you trying to restore your site manually?

Beside the files, you also need to import the database and update the Joomla config values!

Here is one of the value in the configurtion.php:

$mosConfig_absolute_path ='/home/com/floorandwalltv/html/';#'/home/com/floorandwalltv/html/';# '/home/u3/floorandwall/html';

which seemed to me to have more than one value, I tried just leaving '/home/u3/floorandwall/html'; or '/home/com/floorandwalltv/html/'; but that didn't work.

I tried to restore it by following the instruction for which if restoring the site failed which was to:

1. Download the backup on your computer
2. Download the restore script, all 3 files from directory administrator/components/com_cloner/restore
3. Upload both backup and restore script to your restore location
4. Launch Joomla.Cloner.php in your browser and follow the restore screen as specified below

I then follow the the Joomla.Cloner.php restore screen.

So the backup file does not have the data base which means I need to download and import the database, is this what you are saying?

When starting the Joomla.Cloner.php restore script, do you get a success message after restore? You should check the disk space available on your restore site, make sure it's enough to handle a full backup restore, it needs to be at least twice the backup size, and second you should check that your backup archive has the same size as on the original site

If you still have issues, i would advise on opening a support ticket to help you further
