Upgrading with Joomlastart 4 Years, 3 Months ago
I am having problems understanding how this actually works.

i want to use joomlastart to upgrade exisitng sites. Is this possible to do with an existing site. I have not been able to find any documentation either?

I am also lost on how to install the module. I just get the error message that the file is not a component or a module or a mambot.

Help would be appreciated.

If you open the JoomlaStart archive, you will notice that there are 2 files present there! Joomla.Start.php and ver.txt are only some utilities, they are not Joomla extensions!

What you need to do is simply upload those files in your site root and start the script in your browser!

The upgrade is pretty much like installing the software, only that you need to delete the installation/ folder in the end!

Re:Upgrading with Joomlastart 3 Years, 1 Month ago
Thx for the explanation, my website use joomla 1.5.3. I would like to upgrade it to Joomla 1.5.10.
But after uploading the 2 files : joomla.start.php and ver.txt, the only highest option that joomlastart propose me to upload is Joomla 1.5.3.
I can not see the latest version of joomla, is it normal ?
Many thx.

Hi there! Try and get this ver.txt file from here http://joomlaplug.com/files/ver.txt and replace the one from your server
