Excellent!

Yes, thank you, that does help, as it left me with doubts if the backups were any good. Since all I care about is to have a complete backup, I can live with the messages. My only concern is it meant the backups were defective. Now I can have peace of mind my site is safe with backups despite the error messages I can't get rid of. I am glad to learn it is not a reflection of a joomlaplug backup error.
