cloning works but 2 Years, 2 Months ago  
for some reason cloned sites use the same DB as the parent. When I make changes to the clone site the changes are seen on the parent site too. Also if I change the parent site the cloned site reflects the changes. Template changes do not seemed shared. What can I do to prevent this?

Make sure when restoring that you get the success restore message that database was imported, if it fails, try running again the restore process, but this time check the "skip files restore" option and see if it helps

Thanks for the quick response. I was not completing the DB restore step in the move. Works great now!
