Installation problem 2 Years, 8 Months ago  
Hi folks,

I am trying to install com_jcron1.3.zip and using the joomla extension manager all I get is a message:

"Unable to find install package"

I am probably missing something simple. Any assistance would be welcome.

Hi there! Are you able to install other components on your site? Check also if the jcron archive is complete or try to re-download it again and see if it helps

Ovidiu,

I've installed a 8-10 other components without a problem so that's probably not a problem. When I downloaded the archive again, it looks OK and extracts with the 10 files in the main directory and 3 more in an images subdirectory.

Other possible suggestions? FYI - I am installing it onto a GoDaddy site.

Well jcron component is a legacy only component if you are trying to install it on a Joomla 1.5, so try and see if that is the issue

Ovidiu,

Legacy plugin is enabled (I have one other legacy component installed).

Are there any other settings/plugins/components that must be set/installed befor installing jcron?
